“Fuji Area Market Rep.” for the St. Louis Walgreens stores. Responsible for visiting each Mini Lab installation within the territory on a monthly basis, to ensure proper production techniques and appropriate maintenance procedures are being practiced on the Fuji Mini Lab Film Processors, Aladdin Digital Kiosks, and Frontier digital printing machines. Oversee and maintain software upgrades within each photo department and report to both Fuji and Walgreens upper management my findings. Train staff as necessary and continually communicate “Best Practice” methods to every location.

“Production Supervisor-Periodicals” Directed all aspects of the print prepress production team through the production process, including quality assurance, budget and schedule adherence, and resource allocation for the department. Hire/fire authority over 7 graphic artist/journal compositors, who designed and laid out 26 medical and nursing journals representing over 26,000 pages per year. Each was also responsible for preparing and supplying PS and XML files for use in the companies electronic web page department. Designed each title’s style template. Trained crew in page layout and assembly procedures using: Quark Xpress; Adobe: Illustrator, PhotoShop, Acrobat; Microsoft: Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and WordPerfect.

Researched, designed, and instituted a more effective electronic scheduling procedure using MS Project and Excel, replaced existing labor intensive, error ridden, manual method of schedule preparation bringing about a 66% reduction in time/effort. Received special financial award as recognition.

Ongoing liaison between composition department and external regional web and offset print vendors responsible for streamlining procedures. Approved overall print quality, final color correctness, while maintaining schedule and budget adherence of each of the 26 titles and numerous special editions under my department.

Oversaw in store design and document output for both locations.

“Marketing Director” Managed corporate sales and marketing programs for a value added Apple dealer, typesetter, color separator, and prepress service bureau. Directed, wrote, produced, and implemented the company’s marketing efforts and selected appropriate methods and vehicles for that purpose. Oversaw installation of graphic design software applications as well as typesetting and imaging hardware in many area advertising agencies and graphic studios.
